Arthur

I had my lovely friend Mary-Maye over today along with her (nearly) two-year-old son, Arthur.  Charlotte and Arthur had fun engaging each other while Mary-Maye and I drank tea, chatted, and laughed.  It was a great morning.

Having Arthur here reminded me that our but our flat is far from being baby-proof.  Mary-Maye joked that she could start a business of helping people childproof their homes.  She would send Arthur in and he (as children do) would quickly find all of the things not suitable for little ones in:  outlets, breakables, etc.  She thought she could dress him up in a little suit and bow-tie.  Charge £150 per hour.

This is what things looked like when Mary-Maye and Arthur headed home (just around the corner!).  While my house has been way messier than this before, it is rarely this messy with toys.  I'm guessing this will be the permanant state of things once Charlie starts crawling!

  1. Oh, yes, you have much fun to look forward to! Once they start moving you feel like, hey, can't you just sit still for one tiny second? But it's a fun ride :)

  3. Stephanie: I can't wait for her to reach each next stage, but part of me just wants her to stay a baby too!
