We got a piano!!

There was a small chance that if we brought our electric, American piano over to the UK and got an adapter, and plugged it in . . . that it might explode.  Not willing to take such chances, we decided to sell it to a friend and buy a new one over here.  (Of course we would prefer to have a real, wood piano, but that just isn't very compatible with city living.)

After a bit of research, we decided on this lovely Yamaha.  It isn't the top of the line, but it has nicely weighted keys and a decent sound.  A harpsichordist friend of mine tried it out the other day and was impressed with the overall quality (and even the fake harpsichord sound!) so I'm feeling even better about the purchase.

We absolutely love having a piano in the house again!  Jason is taking jazz piano lessons through his work (they actually subsidise lessons for their employees and even have a practice room in the office) so he is happy to finally be able to practice at home and I am now able to take on some voice students.  As for Charlie, she loves banging the keys exploring the musical tones the piano produces.

Here is my little Mozart in action:

She better like it, because she's only got two-and-a-half more years before the weekly lessons begin!  Mwahahahaha!
