Now that Charlie can crawl, she loves crawling over to her books and pulling them all off the shelf. It just might be her most favourite thing to do. The book she is always most excited to find on the shelf is "The Family Book" by Todd Parr. We picked it up from the library and have decided that we need to buy our own copy. It doesn't have beautiful pictures or charming prose or a creative story, but Charlotte loves the bright colours and Jason and I love the message (which Todd sums up simply and beautifully on the last page):
There are lots of different ways to be a family.
Your family is special no matter what kind it is.
